Grand Opening & Performance — February 6, 2026 – Celebrate the artistry, innovation, and enduring legacy of Black burlesque performers! In February 2026, Everybody Wants to Be a Showgirl will open at DuPont Underground in Washington DC. The exhibit will feature Brown Skin Showgirls: Leon Claxton’s Harlem in Havana — a dynamic mini exhibition spotlighting the history and cultural impact of the groundbreaking traveling revue produced by impresario Leon Claxton from the 1930s through the 1960s.
