Brown Skin Showgirls Book featured at the 2023 International Booklover’s Burlesque Festival in Portland!

In April 2023, the Harlem in Havana Project presented the Brown Skin Showgirls Book at the The International Booklover’s Burlesque Festival in Portland Oregon. Produced by Lacy Productions, the festival is a celebration of the literary and the performing arts, highlighting burlesque, boylesque, and draglesque artists from around the world. Project director Leslie Cunningham was selected as a guest of honor for the event and read from the Brown Skin Showgirls book followed by a performance from D.C. showgirl Aquarius Moon.
